Every industry advances only through breakthroughs in basic-theory-based architecture innovation. Yet the high performance boat industry has stagnated for over a century--chained to a single lie: the "violent motions"(making the ride in real life full of pitching, rolling, heaving, rocking, jumping, transom throwing, side skidding, sharp heeling, bow steering, etc) are globally accepted as a "necessary trade-off" for performance by purposely hiding the truth of compromising fundamental safety for pleasing flat water data.
The lie is baked into the "authoritative theories" governing every mainstream hull design: from hard-chined deep-V hulls to catamarans, trimarans and hulls of other form.
The problem? These theories have fatal flaws in their scientific working logic--flaws encoded into the "DNA", the basic architecture platform of every boat. They do not just "cause problems"--they create the "world-class bottlenecks" that keep the industry stuck. Hard-chined Deep-V Hull Theory:
Its "deep-V shaped" bottom is supposed to "cut waves", but it actually amplifies vertical forces. Why? Because stability, seakeeping ability and efficiency are inherently conflicting--and stability is always prioritized over the others. When a wave hits the bow, the hull will horribly lift high above water to allow the wave to directly slam the midship hull bottom and then heavily slam onto the surface of the sea by gravity force (just like falling from a 3-story building and even far worse, subject to boat speed and wave height), triggering "slamming loads" that crack the hull frames, damage machinery and injure crews (Breakdowns are not found in sea trial acceptance test just because the time is yet to come but common sense tells us this is something that 100% unavoidable, since nothing can sustain proper work in such harsh working environment).
You can see the flaws clearly shown in the GA drawing below--it's from a so-called "world-class safe boat" designed and built by a top US shipyard. This drawing alone shows how the DNA flaws are baked into every hard-chined deep-V hull based boat.
Spray Rails/Lifting Strakes Theory:
The "sharp rails (also called lifting strakes) with flat bottom" running along and situated close to the hull's keel line with approx. 2-3 rails on each hull bottom side are designed to "deflect sprays" to the sides for different speeds in an violent manner, rather than gently redirecting or trapping water to get the sprays to gently and steadily lift the hull. This fundamental flaw in design mean today's spray rails not only increase hull drag in real-life irregular waves (though it reduce drag in flat water due to added lift and reduced wetted areas above dynamic waterline), but also worsen both lateral and longitudinal instability because of creating force concentration in an imbalanced way. Worse still, in irregular waves, they alter the hull's trim angle violently--slowing forward momentum, turning small swells into even far more violent rocking, jumping and flying-out and ultimately deteriorating the working environment for the crews, the structures, the machinery, the equipment, the electronics and the sensors.

Class societies set low safety bars: These bars give huge room for poorly designed boats to easily satisfy through the way of performance limiting--no military, paramilitary or professional boat users obeys. Why? Because the performance limits imposed by these rule-based standards are far lower than what real-life mission demands.
Besides, low safety bars setting only considering simple dimensional factors by class rules also means that designers have no interest to tackle challenges of real life--They prefer to focus on how to make the boat look pleasing.
The conflict between low safety bars and high performance helps bring an even worse situation: Boats for tough missions are always used beyond the safety and capabilities profile thus higher risks are made to reality but all parties can safely get rid of the responsibility by law except the users--This explains why users are always regarded by law as the responsible party in the result of investigations of many tragedies recorded worldwide.

Top brands and countless followers market danger as capacity: Premium US/EU/UK/Australian designers and builders of so-called "elite" brands advertise safety-threatening behaviors as "proof of world-class safety and performance" by showing such visually identified, horribly violent riding motions of their boats at the most outstanding place of their marketing documents and website indicating "Our boat stays intact even when it moves violently like such"--then call violent jumping "agility" and bone-jarring slamming "seakeeping" of "world class"--This is criminal.
